Cornerstone provides design and project coordination services for a new enclosed 5,000 standard cubic feet per minute (SCFM) low-nitrogen oxide (NOx) flare station for Republic Services at its Apex Sanitary Landfill in Apex, NV. When landfill gas (LFG) is not used by the landfill gas-to-energy (LFGTE) power plant, it will be routed to the enclosed flare. The flare station design facilitates the addition of multiple flares to handle increased LFG flow rates as the Apex landfill continues to expand.

Cornerstone acts as project coordinator to facilitate design management between the parties involved in the project, including the biodesulfurization plant equipment vendor, general contractor, structural design firm, electrical design firm, LFGTE plant developer, the flare equipment manufacturer, and the client.
