Jakub Sowa – Caisson Well Design and Installation
Mr. Sowa is a member of Cornerstone’s Landfill Gas (LFG) Design Center located in Warrenville, Illinois. His duties include designing and permitting gas collection and control systems (GCCS) for solid waste facilities. His LFG experience also includes calculating gas flow generation and designing phasing plans for system installation. Mr. Sowa also has landfill engineering experience, including baseliner system design, closure and post-closure services, stormwater services, volume calculations, and air quality sampling.
Jakub holds a B.S., in Civil Engineering, from the University of Illinois at Chicago, 2012.
Rob Schiffhauer – Temporary Cap Applications Across America
Mr. Schiffhauer is a Senior Project Manager at American Environmental Group with more than five years of experience. Rob is responsible for the management of multiple geosynthetics projects and performs constructability reviews, schedules materials and contractors, and coordinates testing and inspection. He has managed more than two hundred geosynthetics installation projects utilizing a wide variety of materials in varying applications.
Joe Donze – Landfill Soil and Airspace Management
Mr. Donze is C.E.O. of LSC Environmental Products, a manufacturer of products and equipment designed to address erosion, odor, waste cover and dust. Joe holds a B.S in Civil Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
Julie Hall – Implementation of Final NSPS XXX Rules – Notification, Recordkeeping and Reporting the First Year
Ms. Hall is a Senior Project Manager with more than fifteen years of experience with air permitting and compliance for many facilities across the mid-west. Julie holds a B.S in Chemical Engineering and an MBA from the University of Cincinnati. As a member of Cornerstone’s senior air team, Julie reviews new rules and regulations and provides guidance to staff and clients across the country. Ms. Hall has presented at a number of state and national conferences on a variety of air permitting and compliance topics.
Don Grahlherr – Energy Waste (CCR) Disposal in Subtitle D Landfills
Mr. Grahlherr is V.P., National CCR Practice at Tetra Tech and has 28 years of experience on a range of geotechnical and environmental projects. Don is experienced in design, analysis, and permitting for solid waste landfill and disposal pond design. He has practical field experience with the investigation, construction, testing, and instrumentation of earthworks and geosynthetic systems. He is a registered P.E. in Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, and Pennsylvania and holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Geological Engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology.
Cyndi Neitzel – Small Changes Matter
Ms. Neitzel is a Project Manager at Cornerstone Environmental Group with more than seventeen years of experience with landfill design, construction quality assurance and air permitting and compliance. Cyndi is responsible for managing multiple projects involving landfill gas collection and control systems operations and maintenance, data evaluation and compliance reporting. She presently serves several clients throughout Wisconsin, Minnesota and Illinois.
Steve Wittmann – St Landry Parish Goes Mobile
Steve Wittmann is a Senior Manager with over 40 years of experience as a consultant and principal in a design/build construction company. He has worked on landfill gas and biogas projects for over 35 of those years and is a nationally recognized expert in landfill gas management. Steve has managed numerous LFG migration control, LFG to Energy and biogas to compressed natural gas vehicle fueling projects, including the EPA LMOP Award winning St. Landry Landfill to BioCNG project.
