California

California Air Resources Board (CARB) will soon announce enforcement of the California Landfill Methane Control Measure (LFMCM) rule, which will require many more landfills to install a gas collection and control system (GCCS).

The rule will become effective in late Spring 2010. Cornerstone is tracking the rule and providing ongoing updated guidance to landfill operators on how to comply. The links below provide resources and guidance.

LFMCM Flyer – brief overview of how your open or closed landfill may be affected by the LFMCM.
